Frequently Asked Questions
Line Upon Line PRO Bible Study Course
What angle are you coming from?
Jeff Williams has been an independent Baptist missionary pastor and church planter in New Zealand for almost 35 years. His ministry has focused on teaching people what the Bible actually says and challenging them to obey it and apply it to their own lives. Our materials are King James Bible based, moderately dispensational and non-Calvinistic. We believe the best interpreter of Scripture is the Bible itself and that with a humble heart and the Holy Spirit's help, any believer can understand God's word. If you are interested in a more detailed doctrinal statement, simply click on this link to our STATEMENT OF FAITH.
What do you offer that I can't get with other online Bible courses?
Rather than telling you what we think the Bible means, our goal is to help you to see what it actually says! You will not be bamboozled with big words or unfamiliar Greek and Hebrew terms, but will be challenged to compare scripture with scripture. Proper context and rightly dividing the word of truth will always be noted as the key to arriving at a proper understanding of any verse. Once we understand the doctrine of a passage, then we are able to make practical applications to our lives!
Each lesson comes with simple quizzes and exams that will help you remember what you have learned. We offer a total package over every book of the Bible that has been proven in homes, Christian schools and prisons across New Zealand and around the world for over three decades - a course that has borne the fruit of souls saved, believers strengthened and churches planted.

How long will it take and how much will it cost?
Our students vary tremendously in ability, motivation and goals. Some can zip through a lesson in 20 minutes while others want to dig into the word, chase down the cross-references and take notes. So the length of time needed to complete the entire Line Upon Line PRO course is totally in your hands! There are 330 lessons in total and we have had many homeschoolers use this material as a four-year, high school Bible curriculum. We have had students complete the course in as little as 18 months and have seen others take as long as 15 years!
The Line Upon Line PRO online course has three different study plans that a student can choose from. These can be easily compared by clicking the COURSES tab at the top of this page.

What is the difference between the Guided Path Plan and the Full Access Plan?
Both of these plans include all 330 lessons in our Line Upon Line PRO Bible study course. The difference lies in the amount of freedom you have to access the content.
The point of our Guided Path Plan is to help you methodically learn the scriptures by building truth upon truth, LINE UPON LINE! We begin with the easier books of the Bible and gradually build up to the more difficult books. Along the way we introduce new concepts and principles of Bible interpretation that will help develop your understanding of Scripture as you progress. This plan requires you to complete all the lessons in a book of the Bible before allowing you to move on to the next book of the Bible. With this option it may take you many months of study before you get to Revelation or Matthew or Hebrews.
With the Full Access Plan we recognize that some of our students are more mature in the Lord and have already grasped many of these principles. This plan gives you immediate and full access to all the lessons in our course regardless of how easy or challenging any given book of the Bible may be. You are then free to study the books of the Bible in any order that you choose.

Can I download these lessons?
Yes! Each time you begin a new lesson you will be given the option to download the bulk of the material that you are studying as a PDF file. This allows our students to study from paper if they wish or to have a copy of the information for future reference. Keep this up and you'll have your own commentary over the entire Bible! Do note that the PDF version of each lesson is in black and white and omits many of the maps, pictures, charts and color coded information found in the online lessons. The PDF version of each lesson is mostly just text.
Can I take notes?
Yes! Each online lesson comes with a note widget that allows you to highlight material in your lesson and to permanently insert your own notes right onto the computer screen and into your lesson. Since our lessons are full of questions and cross-references to look up, this function is incredibly helpful. Of course, you can also get a pen and some Bible markers and take notes in your own Bible or in a notebook if you would rather.
I don't think I can afford your course?
We all can afford the things we truly value. Experience has shown us that when a student has no skin in the game and we offer our lessons at zero cost, there is little motivation to study faithfully and to do well. We offer a postal version of this course to NZ residents that is tuition free, but we still require them to pay the postage to and from our office. With many of our individual book courses starting at just $12.95, there are many affordable study options.
Is your material available in book form?
Yes! All 330 lessons are in available a series of thirty books available through the Amazon.com website. The OLD TESTAMENT volumes of the Line Upon Line PRO Bible study series are available at this link while one can find the NEW TESTAMENT books available at this link.
